Exciting News

…. Our garage at home has been converted into a Studio / Gallery! Not only is it personally exciting for me but now anyone wanting to view my art will no longer need to wait for an exhibition to see it.

Our garage got the shock of its life! It was divided to create a space of 3.5 by 6 meters with lined and finished walls. The old garage door was replace with a wide expanse of glass doors and windows. It has a canopy overhead to offer shelter from the weather and later there will be parking right up to the Studio.

The plan now that we have had our Opening it's time to proceed with stage 2 which is to rearrange the studio so that it has a working space for me to paint. This area will be under the window to catch the light leaving the remainder of the space to hang my paintings. I can't wait to get this area up and running as I am really needing to get back into my painting again. DONE

Stage 3 Having decided that the art classes (and me) need a separate space from the gallery I am now endevouring to make a new space for them. It will be behind the end wall of the Gallery - the current concealed door to it will be removed and replaced with a privacy screen. The Gallery will be returned to looking like a Boutique Gallery and all the messy stuff will be in its own space. Another big project and a lot of clearing to do in that rear room but it will be well worth while and I can't wait to be able to have the freedom of getting messy when I'm painting.

Art Classes

These classes are designed for Adults who have always aspired to paint but never had the opportunity to follow their dreams. They are designed to fast track your focus and aspirations to produce meaningful artwork. Please note that the term Fast Track doesn't mean instant or slap-dash.

Art Classes enrolments are available apon request and dates decided apon and are strickly limited. $30 a lesson (approx 3 and a half hours + a break for lunch BYO) Commencing at 10am. Please send your contact details to me at valerieburrows@operamail.com and put in the subject space 'art classes'. Numbers for classed are a maximum of 4.

Please note:- My classes are not conventional and are more focused on inspiring than teaching you how to draw an egg. Many thanks to Nicola Rogers and Christine for being my Guinea Pigs. You are welcome to discuss this with me before enrolling.
